Last Night of Ramadan in Batu Pahat

Here I am back at my hometown, Batu Pahat, Johor. It’s the last day of Ramadhan, a busy day for all Muslim to make the last minute preparation for the upcoming Syawal tomorrow.

During the day I was busy buying groceries, and festive lights for the house. Also managed to service my car, and trolling around town doing errands for my sisters to buy some stuff for the house.

After breaking fast, we waited for the Eid ul-Fitr announcement, which as we already expected to fall on Sunday, 19th August 2012.

My nephews and nieces cheered and straight away went outside to play some fireworks.

Mafia Wars – I’m Giving Out Items, Miscrits??

It’s been a long time since I updated my Mafia Wars game here. Well, I haven’t been playing this game much last year so basically I’m very slow at leveling up, still at level 591 today, where as most of my clan members are past level 1000 already. Another game that I still play is of course Castle Age, but yeah, still at level 328. Leveling up in Castle Age is just so dang hard! 😛

Well, what I actually wanna do here is to give away some of my unwanted, unused, inactive stuffs in my Mafia Wars Inventory to those lower level or new MW players out there. Send me a friend request with a private message “Help me out with some MW gifts“. I will send out whatever I have, or can to help then. Or you can ask me what item you want so I can check it out in my inventory. It’s all for free, just need your help in clicking on my MW post whenever you see them 😀

Uptown Kota Damansara – Festive Bazaar

It’s late at night and all the shopping complex are closed, but you have a strong urge to satisfy your shopping needs, or you need to buy some new clothes urgently for tomorrow’s event, or your kids are bawling their heads off for wanting a new pet that just died, fret not. There’s a place exactly for you to feed your needs and desires. In fact, there’s several places you can go to shop at midnite until wee hours in the morning!

In Selangor, Malaysia, we called these awesome, night marketsUptown. Open from 8-9pm to 3-4am daily, uptowns in Selangor are located in few strategics locations around major populated areas like in Cheras, Danau Kota, Shah Alam, Kajang and Kota Damansara, and a few other smaller ones.

Bazaar Ramadhan Kampung Sungai Penchala

Today I decided to go to one of the nearby Bazaar Ramadhan since I don’t know what to cook for Iftar this evening. The most famous bazaar around here would be at Kampung Sungai Penchala (Sg. Penchala village) and Taman Tun Dr. Ismail (TTDI). I’ve never been to both so but I expect they have pretty much same dishes like every other bazaar Ramadhan in Klang Valley. My goal is to find some yummy “murtabak” (pan fried bread stuffed with onions and chickens or meat, served with curry), and “ayam percik” (spicy marinated barbequed chicken on stick).

Ramadan 1433H/ 2012M

Today, is the 9th day of Ramadan, the Muslim’s fasting month. To those who are not familiar with Islamic religion, Ramadan is the 9th month of the Islamic calendar, the holiest month. For the whole month we are required to fast from dawn to sunset and to refrain from all food and drink and sexual relations with our spouse during that time.

The main purpose of fasting is described in the Al-Quran as “so that you may attain Taqwa or God-consciousness.” Fasting is thus yet another instrument for bringing us closer to our natural state, our state of Fitrah and for cleansing this state from the dross of any disobedience and corruption.

Down With Flu So I Made My 1st Video!

Last week has not been a good week for me. Been busy with work made me kinda restless and started to join some after work activities, as usual. Too bad I picked up ‘learn to swim’ on Monday, when the weather is still in its monsoon change season (somehow my catalyst for flu or fever over the years). It was a good dip, long hours soaking in the pool, and not learning how to swim exactly, but listening to some good live band from the nearby Waikiki bar. The next day, I started to sniff…great! Just when I’m about to go for my boot camp replacement on the evening!

Hiking At Mount Datuk

This is my 3rd activities with Budget Travelers, where I decided to join for hiking at Mount Datuk, on 30th October, 2010. Mount Datuk is located in Kampung Batang Nyamor, about 21km from Rembau Town and 15km from Tampin Town, in the state of Negeri Sembilan.

“The summit of the mountain consists of huge boulders. Gunung Datuk stands majestically at 880 metres (2,900 feet above sea level) offering trekkers a panoramic view of the surrounding towns atop the boulders, the Strait of Malacca may also be visible clear day. Visitors will be dauntingly challenged by the natural obstacles such as steep passageways, as they traverse the roots, trees, narrow paths and witness the structural changes in the forest along the trail.
Difficulty : 3/5
Duration to Peak : about 2 hours trek”
