During the day I was busy buying groceries, and festive lights for the house. Also managed to service my car, and trolling around town doing errands for my sisters to buy some stuff for the house.
After breaking fast, we waited for the Eid ul-Fitr announcement, which as we already expected to fall on Sunday, 19th August 2012.
My nephews and nieces cheered and straight away went outside to play some fireworks.
Then I went out with my brother & sister to BP Walk, just to window shop and see what’s the shops here have to offer.
BP Walk which located along the left side of Jalan Rahmat is in full festive bazaar mood. Some stalls were also opened beside the municipal building, Dewan Jubli Intan, Batu Pahat. We bought some more fireworks, head scarf, and ermmm…more bags! It’s late at midnite but still the place is swarming with people. As people parked along the roadside, police traffic keeps the traffic moving swiftly along the jammed road. Some people even played the fireworks there. There’s even a counter to pay for zakat al-Fitr.
Then we went to join some old friends for a drink at Selamba Corner at the old bus stand at Jalan Omar. This place is famous for ‘lontong goreng’, or clumpy fried rice. Only at 3am we went back home. But then I heard of a late items clearance at BP Walk so we went out again to hunt for any items on sale. And more drinks…it’s nearly 5am now. Time to go home and catch some sleep. Hope I won’t look too sleepy in the morning 😀
Cheers for now! Wishing all Muslim a joyous, Eid Mubarak! TaqabAllah Minna Wa Minkum (May Allah accept it from us and from you) ^_~
